From what little I know, the iron patriot was a suit created by Norman Ozzborn. As to whether the blueprints were taken from Tony Stark or were actually made by some alternate reality Ozzborn, I don't know.
Typical recolored and modified War Machine. I'm assuming you haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet then
and on the actual Iron Patriot the markings say 'Lt Col. James Rhodes' or something like that, and are much smaller and probably on the chest. I just decided it looked a bit empty on the shoulder plate so added 'RD' with two random numbers behind it
I agree. In comparison the tiny excuse of a gun on Iron Patriot(which has oddly chaped barrels, which either shoot really unstable bullets, is an energy weapon, or the set designers just didn't bother with it), War Machine's mini gun certainly is more appealing. Although the Ex-Wife's storage space which could be put to better use brings it down a bit
actually, to be technical, the Iron Patriot Armor in the comics was a different character all together, but in the movie's storyline, the Iron Patriot is really War Machine MK 2. as According to a comic that was like a prequel, Tony had basically repossessed the original War Machine (made from his MK 2 armor) and, after stripping it of it's 'enhancements' made by hammer (his INFERIOR competitor) he had rebuilt a completely new War Machine suit for Rhodey, which is the design used on the Iron Patriot here, just with the Black and silver colors. it was later turned to be the Iron Patriot, by means of a paint job. and while I do Love the look of the Iron patriot, (the color scheme is COOL.) I like the name War Machine better, and it does look better in the second movie, but this one is just as chool.
